Program overview:
Successful spokespersons are made, not born. Becoming a spokesperson requires knowing how to navigate today’s social media-driven, emotionally rich, attention-span deficient and outrage-driven communications landscape.

It is essential for spokespersons to understand the fundamentals of message delivery and how changing trends in news consumption affects the role of a spokesperson. Before participating in a media interview, spokespersons must anticipate organizational challenges and risks, as well as be armed with well-crafted responses.

Join the Healthcare Planning and Marketing Society of New Jersey as it hosts spokesperson training experts from South Jersey-based AKCG – Public Relations Counselors in a webinar on spokesperson techniques for effective media relations.

Attendees will learn:

• A spokesperson’s rights and responsibilities in a media interview
• Fundamentals of message delivery and the role of key messages in answering questions
• How to use bridging techniques to transition smoothly to your message
• Different communications scenarios and how to avoid common pitfalls
