In honor of Women's History Month, join HPMSNJ as it hosts four female leaders in the healthcare and biotech industries for an interactive panel discussion.

Program Overview:
Moderated by Cathy Toscano, HPMSNJ board member and healthcare marketing and communications professional, the panelists will share their unique perspectives on their careers, company culture and inclusiveness in the workforce. Attendees will hear straight from our experts on topics such as managing career advancement and goal setting in a more inclusive workplace, the value of networking and mentorship, balancing responsibilities and best strategies to succeed in a rapidly evolving industry.

Jenny Mundell has more than 15 years of experience working in fundraising and relationship building both in healthcare and higher education. She also serves as an elected town council representative in Bloomfield, New Jersey, where she is raising her family. Jenny has a BA in English from Pennsylvania State University and a MA in English from Montclair State University.

Kerry McKean Kelly, MS, has worked in healthcare communications with the New Jersey Hospital  Association for 23 years and currently serves as vice president of communications and member services. She came to NJHA after serving as a news editor and reporter with Calkins Newspapers and United Press International. She also is president and co-founder of the 501c3 Kelly’s Heroes: Fighting Pancreatic Cancer, a member of the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition and an appointee to the international steering committee for World Pancreatic Cancer Day each November. She holds a Master’s of Science in Communication from Purdue University and a bachelor’s in journalism from
                                                     Michigan State University.

Keisha Taylor is transformational change agent skilled at orchestrating and delivering systematic network change across a wide range of industries including healthcare, insurance, marketing, and government. Accomplished at strategizing, educating and leading cross-functional teams to bring about fundamental change and improvement in process efficiency and risk reduction – both as leader and expert consultant. She has a high interest in ensuring patients have an outstanding experience and has worked directly with patients and with training healthcare staff to optimize the patient experience. Keisha holds her MHA from Seton Hall University where she also serves as an adjunct professor. She is ​currently a Doctoral Candidate pursuing a degree in Organizational Leadership. ​

Catherine Kapferer is the Vice President and Head of Human Resources at Sanguine Biosciences, a high growth, Biotechnology company.  Prior to joining Sanguine, Catherine worked in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Technology, Drug Development/Clinical Research, Clinical Laboratories, and Financial Services industries with a track record of delivering results in global, matrixed, Fortune 500 companies while holding executive Human Resources and Commercial Sales roles. Catherine has expertise in the full spectrum of Human Resources Management practices and holds her master’s degree.
