Special Achievement Award Information
SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
Criteria:
Individuals who have made a unique or innovative contribution over a period of time to the art and process of health planning and/or marketing.

Individuals who have been instrumental in the planning and marketing of a unique or particularly innovative health service.

Individuals who have, during their careers, demonstrated leadership in the advancement of health planning and marketing.

Organizations which have demonstrated a commitment to systematic and effective health planning and/or innovative marketing, thereby establishing high standards for emulation.

Eligibility:
New Jersey-based individuals and organizations whose achievements in the disciplines of healthcare planning and/or marketing have benefited the citizens of New Jersey. Parties so nominated need NOT be members of the Society.

Frequency:
Nominations for this award will be accepted each year, but the award will not necessarily be given each year.
  • 2007:
    • Fred M. Jacobs, MD JD. Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services. For his lifetime of work to improve public health in the state of New Jersey.
  • 2006:
    • George Lynn, President of Atlanticare Health System, for his lifetime of improving healthcare
  • 2005:
    • Jim Goss, VP, and the Public Relations and Marketing team at CentraState Healthcare System in Freehold, NJ, for demonstrating a commitment to innovative marketing.
    • Clare Sapienza-Eck, VP of Planning and Government Relations at South Jersey Healthcare, for successfully opening a new medical center in Cumberland County and completing its first full year of operations.
  • 2004:
    • Sally Roslow and Ron Czajkowski, New Jersey Hospital Association, for their work in developing an implementing a plan for HPMSNJ to serve former NJHCPRMA members
  • 2003:
    • Continuing Education Department of the New Jersey Hospital Association/HRET represented by Rita Pruzan, Director, along with Cecilia Boyce and Daisy Siminoff, Educational Services Assistants. Given for outstanding contributions to the health care field through annual education programs reaching thousands of health care professionals and their long-standing collaboration with HPMSNJ.

Society Recognition Award Information
SOCIETY RECOGNITION AWARD
Criteria:
Individuals who have made continuing contributions to advance the field of health planning and marketing, particularly through participation in committee work and on task forces.

Individuals who have made major contributions during the preceding year towards fulfilling the goals of the Society, either on behalf of the Society or within their own organizations.

Eligibility:
New Jersey-based individuals and organizations whose achievements in the disciplines of healthcare planning and/or marketing have benefited the citizens of New Jersey. Parties so nominated need to be members of the Society.

Frequency:
Nominations for this award will be accepted, and this award will be given each year.
