The Healthcare Planning and Marketing Society offers the following for students, all for a rate of only $20 per year:
Annual Holiday and Networking Event
The first Friday each December is the HPMSNJ annual meeting. The meeting is a half- day event that includes breakfast, installation of the following year's officers, committee updates, lunch and a wonderful speaker to motivate and inspire you! The event is free to members and allows you to bring a guest at a reasonable rate. Over one hundred people attend each year including members, sponsors and special guests from across the country.
Educational Programs
HPMSNJ offers at least two formal educational programs throughout the year. Topics cover industry trends, planning, marketing, community relations, finance, building and other topics in healthcare. They feature nationally known speakers as well as those who have an impact on New Jersey's healthcare industry. The price for attendance is discounted for society members. Visit the "Upcoming Events" section of the site for more information.
Meet n' Greet Programs
Less formal than the educational programs, HPMSNJ also hosts several meet n’ greet programs throughout the year. These are shorter, morning (usually) sessions located throughout the state and feature one speaker with discussion focused around a topic. The smaller and less formal setting allows for more conversations around the subject of interest among participants as well as the opportunity to meet peers in the industry. These also offer great opportunities to learn more about the society, how to get involved, and to meet those on the board for the society! Admission is free for members.
Department of Health and Senior Services Meetings
HPMSNJ has regular meetings with the DH&SS and NJHA to discuss state legislative, regulatory and certificate of need issues. This provides a wonderful forum for those with questions to ask them directly of the state. All members, even those that are unable to attend, are encouraged to submit discussion topics or questions. It is provides a unique opportunity for those new or interested in going into planning, policy or governmental affairs in New Jersey healthcare to be introduced to key personnel at the state and in NJHA. Meeting minutes are available to members only for those who are unable to attend in person. If demand is high attendance is admitted on a rotational basis, however we can usually accommodate all interested persons with the new, larger meeting rooms.
Job Postings
Student members have access to job postings in the members-only section of the site.
Resume Listings
A new feature on the HPMSNJ web site, we now have the ability to post your resume on the site!
